Day 7 Reflections Empty Day 7 Reflections

Discussion questions: What arose when thinking about the internal bias on being able to remember the names of murdered black men over murdered black women?
How do you feel you could bring in discussions about the intersectionality experienced by black women into a clinical space?

When thinking about the internal bias of being able to remember the names of murdered black men and murdered black women, I felt as though as a society we are doing a disservice to the alliance we should have with Black women. I feel as though we can bring these discussions about intersectionality experienced by Black women into a clinical space by being making sure we are open to having these conversations with our clients. Not do Black women experience the injustices of racism, but also the misogyny and sexism that is also deeply rooted in our patriarchal society.
